History
For more than 17 years, Project Playhouse™ has been associated with the HomeAid brand, with the event performed in chapters across the U.S. Most of these chapters have been conducting Project Playhouse events for years, raising more than $4 million in total. In fact, HomeAid Orange County will celebrate the 18th year of its Project Playhouse™ in 2009.
Three chapters conduct Project Playhouse events in their respective geographies, including Atlanta, Houston, and Orange County, CA.
In 2007, HomeAid teamed with Pardee Homes® and American Girl® to launch its first-ever National Project Playhouse showcase events in New York City and Chicago, and Los Angeles to bring awareness of transitional homelessness in America and volunteerism. Pardee Homes® and HomeAid collaborated on a fourth playhouse structure that currently on display at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
